VSMO Art Exhibit at The Tuscan Cafe
On Saturday May 8th the VSMO held a grand opening party for the VSMO Art Exhibit at the Tuscan Cafe in Warwick NY. The Art show featured an array of different styles of artwork from local artists as well as artists from all over the country. We would like to thank the band Mix Tape for playing the grand opening with a powerful set. The event raised $2,400 on the opening night. The artwork will be on display until May, 31st and there are still about 15 pieces left for purchase. We would like to thank all the artists for their hard work and dedication to help make a successful event. We would also like to thank everyone who came out to the event along with the Tuscan Cafe for hosting it. Tj Zich won the door prize of a boom box, valued at $300 that was generously donated from Colleen LaBar at Altec Lansing. The VSMO would also like to thank Matt Leahy for putting the idea of doing an event like this in our minds. Matt also collaborated with a number of artists from Explicit Tatoo who donated a bunch of pieces. We would also like to give a big shout to Corey Leggour for collecting and shipping us a bunch of sweet pieces. One last thank you to Sheri Ann Baldwin who donated an additional 5 prints of some of her previous artwork which earned $150. If you haven't had a chance to view the artwork get over to the Tuscan and check it out with a hot cup of Java, the coffee, beer, wine and food over there is phenomenal.
